WORCESTER, Mass. —The Assumption University men's basketball team is back in the Northeast 10 Conference Championship, as the reigning East Regional Champions will host Adelphi University in the first round of the NE10 Championship.
 
No. 4 Assumption University Greyhounds 
THE SEASON TO THIS POINT
Record: 16-11 (11-7 NE10), 9-3 at home, 5-8 on the road, 2-0 at neutral sites. 

• Assumption had a historic season in 2024-25, winning the program's first regional title in 50 years and advancing to the Elite Eight. 
• It won the regional as the No. 6 seed in the East - the lowest seed to win the regional since Bryant (also No. 6) in 2005. 
• Daouda Dembele returns for the Greyhounds after earning both Second Team All-Conference and All-Defensive Team honors last year.

• The Greyhounds are seeking their fifth NE10 Championship in program history, and their first since the 2008-09 campaign.

Record: 18-10 (10-8 NE10), 10-2 at home, 6-8 on the road, 2-0 at neutral.

• Adelphi was picked third in the NE10 preseason coaches poll. 
• The Panthers look to get back to the NE10 Semifinals for the second-straight season, as they fell last season 
• The New York-based squad is led by the 2024-25 NE10 Defensive Player of the Year Jarnel Rancy and All-NE10 First Teamer Dayshaun Walton.
