WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's basketball team is back in the Division II East Regional First Round, as they will take on Saint Anselm College on Saturday, March 14, at 12:00 pm at Charles L. & Gloria B. Lumsden Gymnasium on the campus of Daemen University.

No. 6 Assumption University Greyhounds
THE SEASON TO THIS POINT
Record: 17-12 (11-7 NE10), 9-3 at home, 5-9 on the road, 2-0 at neutral sites.
- Assumption had a historic season in 2024-25, winning the program's first regional title in 50 years and advancing to the Elite Eight.
- It won the regional as the No. 6 seed in the East - the lowest seed to win the regional since Bryant (also No. 6) in 2005.
- Tayeshawn Cunningham-Pemberton (Second Team), Daouda Dembele (Third Team), and Lenny Tangishaka(Defense) all picked up All-NE10 honors.
- The Greyhounds reached the Elite Eight last season and fell to eventual National Champion, Nova Southeastern (102-93).
- Assumption fell to Saint Anselm College in the NE10 Semifinals, after reaching the round for the 14th time in program history, and the first time since the 2008-09 season.

Record: 23-7 (14-4 NE10), 14-1 at home, 8-6 on the road, 1-0 at neutral.
- Saint Anselm picked up three of the four major Northeast 10 Conference awards, as announced Tuesday afternoon, with Will Davies (Player of the Year), Edward Onyia (Rookie of the Year), and Chris Santo (Coach of the Year).
- The Hawks won their 11th Northeast 10 Conference Championship on Saturday, as they topped Saint Michael's College 75-69.
- As a team, the Hawks are the NE10's top offense, averaging 82.7 points per game, and have knocked down a league-best 257 threes (9.2 per game), shooting 36% from deep, the second-best clip in the NE10.
- Saint Anselm has won two regional championships, with the first coming in the 1999-00 season and the second coming in the 2018-19 campaign.
