WORCESTER, Mass.– The Assumption University women's soccer team won 2-1 against the University of Maine Fort Kent in non-conference action, Tuesday afternoon at Normand R. Marois '57 Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The game started hot with Assumption's offense;
Rachael Geniuch made the first shot with only 25 seconds into the first half. The Greyhounds had multiple shot attempts in the first half, but the first goal by the Greyhounds was scored with only five seconds left in the first half by
Alyanna Brown, who scored in the top center of the goal.
The Greyhounds kept the ball on offense in the second half, scoring the second goal at 46:39 by
Brooke Zanella, assisted by
Elizabeth Schoeneberger. Maine Fort Kent started to fight back after multiple shot attempts by the Hounds. The Bengals had their first goal of the game at 65:52 by Petagay Dixon. Blue and White kept up the shots but did not score another goal.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Isabella Provost recorded two saves for her second win of the year.
- Assumption outshot Maine Fort Kent 33-5, while having 14 corners to just two for the visitors.
