WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University Field Hockey team is dancing for the sixth-straight year, but this season the Greyhounds head to Pennsylvania to take on Kutztown University in the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals on Saturday at 6:00 pm.

THE SEASON TO THIS POINT
Record: 13-6 (11-1 NE10), 7-3 at home, 6-3 on the road
- The Greyhounds enter the NCAA Tournament as the No. 7 seed following another dominant conference campaign under NE10 Coach of the Year Annie Lahey, her third such honor.
- Assumption opened the season with a brutal top-10 slate—facing national powers West Chester, East Stroudsburg, and Shippensburg—but responded with one of the strongest in-conference stretches in program history. After a 1–3 start, the Greyhounds ripped off 11 wins in their final 14 games, including eight victories by three goals or more.
- The Greyhounds advanced to the NE10 Semifinals, defeating Franklin Pierce 5–0 in the quarterfinals before falling 3–1 to Bentley.
- Freshman Mieke Rentsch, the program's first-ever NE10 Rookie of the Year, provided an immediate impact with four goals and seven assists—including multi-goal outings vs. Southern Connecticut and Franklin Pierce, with both multi-goal games producing the match-winner.
- Assumption placed eight players on NE10 All-Conference teams, including three First Team selections and the league's top goalkeeper in graduate student Paige Gillette.
- This trip marks the program's fourth straight NCAA appearance and seventh in the last nine seasons.

- Kutztown earned the No. 2 seed after running through the regular season undefeated before falling 2-1 to Shippensburg in the PSAC Championship Game. The Golden Bears were one of the nation's most dominant teams wire-to-wire, spending eight of nine poll weeks ranked No. 1 in the NFHCA national rankings.
- Under PSAC Coach of the Year Marci Scheuing, Kutztown is making its ninth NCAA Tournament appearance and its third consecutive trip to the national field. The Golden Bears enter the week 3-0 all-time in NCAA First Round games, claiming victories over Southern New Hampshire (2019, 2024) and Pace (2023).
- This year's group looks to continue a historic run, seeking a third straight appearance in the NCAA Championship Game after winning the program's first national title in 2023 and finishing as national runner-up in 2024.
- Kutztown has been overwhelming statistically, leading Division II in goals scored (98) while allowing only 12 all season. The Golden Bears also pace the nation in penalty corners (282), averaging more than 14 per contest, a testament to their sustained attacking pressure.
- PSAC Athlete of the Year Erin Gonzalez leads the offense with 17 goals and 40 points, while PSAC Defensive Player of the Year Olivia Kirkpatrick anchors the back line and PSAC Freshman of the Year Tess Adolf holds down the cage with a .804 save percentage and 10 shutouts in her first collegiate season.
