WORCESTER, Mass.– The No. 9 nationally ranked Assumption University field hockey team ran their winning streak to six games, as the Greyhounds defeated Pace University 3-0 in Northeast 10 Conference action, Tuesday evening at Brian Kelly '83 Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a slow first quarter were Assumption outshot Pace 3-1, the Greyhounds would break through in the second, as
Elle Murray and
Khianna Jackson scored for the hosts. Murray capitalized on a penalty corner with
Daisy Stone picking up the assist, while Jackson scored on a 2-on-1 opportunity with
Marta Brzoska.
The game would remain 2-0 in favor of the hosts until the fourth quarter as Murray struck again, as she jammed in the
Taylor Tory rebound with 8:26 remaining in regulation. Pace had a penalty corner in the final minute, but the Hounds would keep the Setters off the scoreboard.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Paige Gillette recorded three saves for her second straight shutout.
- Assumption outshot Pace 24-5, while having a 7-3 edge in penalty corners.
- The Greyhounds have extended their winning streak to six games, where they have outscored their opposition 29-3.
- Murray pushed her point streak to six games, as she has now tallied nine goals and two assists over that span.
- Assumption now leads the all-time series 13-4.
