GARDEN CITY, N.Y.– The No. 9 nationally ranked Assumption University field hockey team extended their winning streak to seven games, as the Blue and White struck for four goals in a 4-1 win at Adelphi University, in Northeast 10 Conference action, Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Julia Carbone put Assumption on top in the first quarter, as she scored off the
Taylor Tory feed at 9:13. Adelphi found the equalizer with ten minutes remaining in the first half, but
Khianna Jackson regained the lead for the Greyhounds, as she tallied her third goal of the year, with 90 seconds remaining in the half.
In the second half, it was
Hailey Doherty who added an insurance goal in the third quarter, before assisting on Jackson's second of the game late in the fourth quarter.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Paige Gillette recorded five saves in the win.
- Assumption outshot Adelphi 19-13, including 15-6 on goal.
- Both sides had six penalty corners.
- Khianna Jackson has now scored three goals in the last two games.
