SHELTON, Conn. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team fell in overtime to Post University 2-1 Friday afternoon after surrendering the game-tying goal in the final ten seconds of regulation at the Sports Center of Connecticut.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
After a scoreless first two periods,
Kiersten Browning got Assumption on the board at the 9:48 mark, with
Avalyn Mikkelson picking up the assist on the play. Post continued to try to score and would find the equalizer with 9.8 showing on the game clock, as Angeline Pitter scored the equalizer, sending the game to overtime, where Caryss Kehl found the game-winner for the hosts.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Jadyn Weiser recorded 26 saves in the crease for the Greyhounds.
- Assumption outshot Post 35-28, while the Eagles won 28-of-54 faceoffs.
- The hosts were the only team to score on the power play, as the Eagles were 1-for-3, while the Hounds were scoreless on five tries.
- Assumption leads the all-time series 4-2-1.
