ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team fell to Rochester Institute of Technology 5-0 in their second game of the season at the Gene Polisseni Center on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
RIT took control early in the game, scoring two goals in the first period. A power-play goal from Ireland Stein at 6:46 opened the scoring. It was followed by an even strength goal by Jessie Burks putting the Tigers ahead 2-0.
The Tigers continued adding names to the scorecard in the second period, tallying two more goals. Kylie Aquaro extended the lead with another power-play goal at 3:34. Nicole Ness scored ten minutes later making it 4-0.
In the third period, Megan McCormick capped off the scoring for RIT at 7:17, solidifying the 5-0 victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jadyn Weiser made 26 saves in goal for the Greyhounds.
- Assumption was outmatched 38-11 in shots on goal
- The Tigers went 2-for-6 on the power play, while The Hounds were 0-for-3.
