WORCESTER, Mass. – The No. 3 nationally ranked Assumption University field hockey team allowed two third-quarter goals and would fall to Bentley University, 2-1 in non-conference action Thursday evening at Brian Kelly '83 Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Bentley started the game fast, as they outshot Assumption 4-1 in the opening 15 minutes, with
Paige Gillette recording three saves for the Hounds. The Greyhounds began the scoring in the first minute of the second quarter, as
Mia Salah threaded the ball into the circle, where
Athena Comeau flicked the ball past the Falcons' keeper to go up 1-0. Assumption would head into the intermission up 1-0 while being outshot 5-4, but both sides had a pair of corners.
Bentley got on the board ten minutes into the third quarter, as Lida Coco's backhanded shot sailed high, but McKenzie Carey got a full extension on her reach to redirect the ball past the goalie to tie the game at 1-1. With 1:50 showing on the third quarter clock, Isabella Tuccio corralled the failed clear attempt and fired it into the back of the net, giving the Falcons a 2-1 advantage. In the fourth quarter, the Greyhounds went on the attack, but they could not capitalize and would fall 2-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
