BURLINGTON, VT. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey pushed their winning streak to three games, following a 3-1 win at Saint Michael's College on Saturday afternoon in New England Women's Hockey Alliance action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Saint Michae's was the first team to strike. Elisabeth Gerbi redirected a shot from Alicia McDonald and put it through the Assumption netminder's five-hole just over a minute into the game.
Rachel Agerter tied the game for the Greyhounds as she scored off the rebound from the
Jenna Chaplain shot at 6:49 of the opening frame.
Ava McGaffigan gave Assumption their first lead of the day at the tail end of the second period, as she scored on the powerplay with
Heather Ajakie and
Alexa Hanrahan assisting on the play, with 2:08 showing on the clock.
Kiersten Browning secured the win for the Greyhounds, as she scored with 4:03 remaining in regulation, giving Assumption a 3-1 win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Jadyn Weiser logged 29 saves in the crease for the Greyhounds in the win.
- Assumption outshot Saint Michael's 34-30 while winning 24-of-41 faceoffs.
- The Greyhounds were the only team to score on the powerplay, as they went 1-of-2, while the Purple Knights went 0-for-3.
- Assumption leads the all-time series 5-0-1.
