MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team dropped their third-straight game, as they fell to Saint Anselm College, 3-2 overtime Friday evening at Sullivan Arena on the campus of Saint Anselm College.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Assumption struck in the game's opening period as
Kayla McGaffigan put the Hounds on the board early. The Greyhounds would carry the 1-0 lead to the second period, with
Jadyn Weiser logging 15 saves in the opening frame. Saint Anselm tied the game just before the halfway mark of the contest as Brooklyn Schneiderhan netted the equalizer. Six minutes later,
Teagan Vaughan lit the lamp for the road Hounds, but the Hawks would tie the game up again before the end of the second period.
The game would go into overtime, but the Hawks would score halfway through the 3-on-3 period, with Lucy DeCoteau netting the game-winner for the hosts.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Jadyn Weiser recorded 36 saves in the crease for the Greyhounds.
- Assumption won 28-of-55 faceoffs, while Saint Anselm outshot the Greyhounds 39-33.
- Neither side scored on the powerplay, as Assumption was 0-for-2, while the Hawks were 0-for-3.
- Saint Anselm now leads the all-time series 4-0-1.
