WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team dropped their third-straight game, as the Greyhounds fell to the College of Holy Cross in non-conference action Tuesday evening at the Hart Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Holy Cross was the first team to strike, as Alexia Moreau scored halfway through the first period as she lifted a backhanded shot over the Assumption netminder's shoulder. The Crusaders doubled their lead right before the one-minute announcement, as Madison Michals scored off the Emmanuelle Gendron face-off win.
The Crusaders broke the game open in two minutes in the second period, as Casey Borgiel and Millie Strum scored back-to-back goals to push the Holy Cross advantage to 4-0. Holy Cross would add one more goal in the third period to take the game 5-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jadyn Weiner recorded 34 saves in the contest.
- Holy Cross outshot Assumption 39-19, winning 25 of 43 faceoffs.
- The Greyhounds logged 24 blocked shots, with Kaitlyn Cielo leading the way with eight.
