WALTHAM, Mass. – The Assumption University women's volleyball team dropped their eighth straight match, as they were swept by Bentley University in Northeast-10 action Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Bentley took control early in the first set, as they snagged the first seven points. Down 12-5, the Greyhounds would not roll over, as they got within two (12-10) following a 6-0 run. Assumption took their first lead of the set at 15-14 after a
Kyra Belden ace. The hosting Falcons would eventually win the set, as they had a late push to grab a 25-20 set win.
The two teams traded points in the second set as neither could establish a significant lead.w Up 13-12, Bentley rattled off seven-straight points and nine of ten points to go up 21-13. Despite a late run by Assumption, the Falcons went up 2-0, following a 25-17 set two win.
Bentley again ran out to an early lead, as they went up 9-1. Later on, in the third set, Assumption would string together a few points, but a longer run answered it by the Falcons. The host would run away with a 25-16 win in the match-clinching set.
