Prior to Assumption: Played basketball and lacrosse in high school while also doing track and cross country. Senior year won a championship with his lacrosse team. Was All-Conference, All-District, and All-State multiple times. Has a personal best of 15:50 for 5k

Personal Life: Son of William and Amy Ferrare, with a sister, Brooke. Amy rowed for Jacksonville U, and Brooke rowed for Jacksonville U and ran for Springfield Track and Cross Country.
