GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The Assumption University women's lacrosse team would drop an 18-6 Northeast-10 Conference decision at Adelphi University on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Adelphi raced out to a 3-0 lead, as they scored all three goals within five minutes into the contest.
Annika Pyy halted the run before
Morgan Bolduc cut the deficit to one with 6:08 remaining in the first. After the Panthers struck again,
Molly Weiand responded with an up-goal, but the hosts would strike once more before the end of the frame to go up 5-3.
Margaret Loeber opened the second quarter with her ninth goal of the season before Adelphi went on a 7-0 run in the second to pull away for a 12-4 halftime lead. Pyy began the third quarter with her second of the game, but the Panthers would score the next five goals before Bolduc halted the run with 4:13 remaining in regulation. Adelphi would add one more tally to bring the final score to 18-6.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Healey Torres and Skylar Troyan logged a combined nine saves in the cage.
- Adelphi outshot Assumption 32-25. The Panthers' defense forced 22 Greyhound turnovers, while the hosts only turned the ball over 11 times.
- Adelphi now leads the all-time series 23-0.
