Marina Callahan has been named to the 2024-25 D2CCA East Region Women's Basketball Second Team
The athletic communication professionals from the three Division II conferences in the East Region (Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, East Coast Conference, Northeast-10 Conference) nominated and voted for the East Region major award and all-region teams.
Callahan picked up the All-Region selection after becoming just the third Greyhound in program history named to the All-NE10 First Team for back-to-back years (Kelly Meredith: 2010-11, 2011-12), Ann McInerney: 1987-88, 1988-89). On top of the First Team selection, she was named to the All-NE10 Defensive Team for the first time. Callahan established new career highs in points per game (13.6), rebounds (8.3), blocks (62), and steals (50). She is the only player in the conference to be ranked in the top ten in scoring (7
th), rebounds (4
th), field goal percentage (6
th), free throw percentage (6
th), blocks (2
nd), and steals (10
th) while ranking 12
th in assists.
Women's Basketball is back in the NCAA Division II East Regional on Friday, March 14, as they take on Holy Family University at noon at Bentley University.
