WORCESTER, Mass - The Assumption University women's ice hockey team dropped a 6-2 non-conference matchup to the College of Holy Cross, Saturday evening at the Hart Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Holy Cross was the first team to strike, as Taylor Catelon scored just before the halfway mark of the opening period.
Rachel Agerter tied the game up at 1-1, with her goal coming at 11:52 of the first stanza, with
Heather Ajakie and
Lexi Kirkeby recording the assists. The Crusaders would regain the lead before the end of the first, as Hannah Deck scored while on a 5-on-3 power play, making it 2-1.
The Greyhounds would tie the game up at 2-2, as
Sasha Marino scored at 8:47 of the middle period. The hosts responded with two goals in the second period to head into the third, leading 4-2. Holy Cross would add two more goals in the third period and would pull away for a 6-2 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Maria Suarez recorded a career-high 46 saves between the pipes for the Greyhounds.
- Holy Cross outshot Assumption 52-19, while also winning 43-of-62 faceoffs.
- The Crusaders were 2-for-7 on the power play, while the Greyhounds were 0-for-3.
