PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Assumption University women's soccer team scored early but surrendered the equalizer late, as the Greyhounds played to a 1-1 tie at Pace University in Northeast-10 Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pace was the first team to have an excellent scoring opportunity, as they were awarded a penalty kick in the 14
th minute. Still, Assumption's
Frida Larsson stonewalled the Setter to keep the game scoreless. The Greyhounds got on the board late in the first half, as
Natalie Matz drove in the rebound off of a
Rose Connolly shot in the 42
nd minute.
The Hounds would carry a 1-0 lead late into the second half, but Pace would get the ball into the box, and Ava Viebrock would score on the loose ball, tying the game with 5:04 showing on the clock. Neither team could break the tie, and the game would end in a tie.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

- Assumption outshot Pace 14-13, while the Setters had a 4-3 advantage in penalty corners.
