HOW IT HAPPENED
Franklin Pierce came out of the gate early with the first basket, answered by an Emma Dahl three-pointer. Both teams exchanged baskets as the opening period went on, with Marina Callahan giving the Hounds a slim advantage with four minutes left, putting them up 10-8. With the game notched at 11-11, Assumption closed on a 7-2 run to lead 18-13 after one quarter.

Assumption used a dominant second quarter to break the game open, limiting the Ravens to only nine points, with the home side shooting 28.6% to close the half. While up 23-18, Assumption exploded on a 10-0 run led by a pair of three-pointers from Teagan Curran. The Greyhounds' defense was swarming the Ravens, giving the visitors a comfortable 37-22 lead at the break.

The dominant play continued for the Hounds, who continued to pull away from their double-digit lead. Three straight trips down the floor with baskets from Kaijhe Hall, Molly Stokes, and Callahan expressed the lead to 19 at 47-28 with only three and a half minutes gone. Now, with three minutes remaining in the 10 minutes, the Hounds had established a 22-point lead and closed the quarter on a 9-3 run to lead 64-36 with only ten minutes left.

In the fourth quarter, the two teams played out the stretch, but Assumption's shooting consistency was more than enough, as the Greyhounds would not threaten the result of the contest.
