WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team fell in New England Women's Hockey Alliance action on Friday evening, as the Greyhounds fell to Saint Anselm College 6-2 at the Worcester Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hawks opened the scoring in the tail end of the first period, as Hailey Tullo found the back of the net. Saint Anselm pushed their lead to 2-0 early into the second, as Maddy McCaffery scored on the power play. The Greyhounds responded three minutes later, as
Alexa Hanrahan netted her fifth goal of the season.
Kaitlyn Cielo tied the game 41 seconds later for Assumption, as her shot from the point found the back of the net.
The game would remain tied until the 7:35 marker of the third, as Gracee Donovan regained the lead for the Hawks. Saint Anselm potted three more goals to push the final score to 6-2.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Carissa Mudrak recorded 34 saves for the Greyhounds.
- Saint Anselm outshot Assumption 40-29, while the teams split the 50 faceoffs.
- The Hawks were the only team to strike on the powerplay, as they went 1-for-3, while the Greyhounds went 0-for-4.
- Saint Anselm now leads the all-time series 2-0-1.
