WORCESTER, Mass. – The No. 21 Assumption University women's lacrosse team struggled and dropped their home finale against No. 2 Pace University Setters 22-5 in Northeast-10 Conference action Wednesday evening at Brian Kelly '83 Stadium

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Setters controlled the first half, dominating the run of play, and had a 15-0 lead at halftime. The Setters scored eight goals in the first quarter and seven in the second. The scoring was spread throughout five different players, with Emma Rafferty scoring a game-high six times. The Greyhounds were outshot by the Setters 27-6.
Isabelle Edwards opened up the scoring for the Hounds in the game right at the start of the second half, but Pace quickly answered it through Angelina Porcello. The third quarter was more competitive, with
Kyle Johnston scoring her 15th on the year for the Hounds' second goal, but the Setters still outscored them 4-2 in that period of play.
The fourth quarter was an even affair, with both sides scoring three goals. For the Greyhounds,
Grace Chicko scored, and
Jenna Joseph grabbed two of her own. Pace added a couple more and picked up their 11th conference win on the year, 22-5.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Skylar Troyan made 13 saves in the net for the Hounds.
- The Setters outshot the Greyhounds 42-11, with 35 of those shots going on goal for the visitors.
- Pace had 23 ground balls to Assumption's 22, while the Setters had nine fewer turnovers.
