BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Assumption University women's volleyball team dropped their eighth straight match, as they fell to Babson College 3-0 in non-conference action inside Staake Gymnasium Friday evening.

Records: Greyhounds (6-12, 1-7 NE10), Beavers (22-4, 8-1 NEWMAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the early portion of the first set, the two teams traded points. With Babson leading 8-7, the Beavers would rattle off six-straight points and 17 of the next 23 points to take the opening set 25-12.
The second was tight throughout the frame, as neither team could grab a multiple-point advantage. With the score tied at 20-20, Babson strung together a 5-1 run to clinch the middle frame 25-21.
In the third set, the Beavers started fast, as they raced out to a 7-3 advantage. The Greyhounds would cut the deficit to one (8-7), but Babson slowly pulled away. The lead would slowly increase, and the hosts would take the third set 25-20.
