RINDGE, N.H. – The Assumption University women's volleyball team dropped their third-straight match, as they fell to Franklin Pierce University 3-0, in Northeast-10 action Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Franklin Pierce controlled the action from the opening service, as they ran out to an early 10-3 advantage. This lead would expand to a 25-12 win in the first set. The Ravens continued their success in the second set, despite Assumption grabbing the set's first three points. FPU pulled away down the stretch after the Greyhounds got within one (16-15), as the Ravens went up 2-0 following a 25-17 win in the second set.
The third set started neck and neck (7-7), but Franklin Pierce fought off the late charge of Assumption to take the third set 25-19.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Anna Dean (10) was the lone Greyhound with double-digit kills on the day, while Kyra Belden paced the team in both aces (3) and assists (16).
- Alexis Distasio and Dean combined for a pair of blocks, while Barbara Illig had a team-high 14 digs.
