PAXTON, Mass. – After recognizing it's four-member senior class, the Assumption University men's tennis team fell to Saint Michael's by a 7-0 score on Saturday afternoon.
In a match that was moved indoors due to the weather, the Purple Knights won all three doubles matches to set the tone for the day and swept singles by only dropping a set.
A notable effort for the Greyhounds was made by senior Max Francis (West Barnstable, Mass,). After coming up short at No. 1 doubles with Brady Ryan by a 6-3 decision, he battled Jackson Moser hard at No. 1 singles before coming up short by set scores of 6-3, 3-6, and 7-5.
Assumption (2-6, NE10 0-5) will next visit Boston College tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
