WORCESTER, Mass. – Mia Salah's overtime winner sends the Assumption University Field Hockey team to the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Final Four in Renton, Washington. The Greyhounds picked up a 2-1 win over Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Anselm Sunday afternoon in the First Round of the NCAA Division II Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption opened the game by controlling most of the possession but could not get on the board. Neither team would break the scoreless tie until the third quarter.
Shelby Dunn got the visitors on the board first, as she shot snuck in the near post past a diving Greyhound goalkeeper at the 36:15 marker. With 1:40 remaining in the third quarter,
Callie Beauparlant would score the equalizer, as her shot from the top of the circle beat the Hawks' goalie to the right post. The two teams would head to overtime despite multiple scoring opportunities in the fourth.
30-seconds into the extra frame, the Greyhounds started a rush.
Christina Leonard beat the Saint Anselm outside defender and centered the ball to
Mia Salah, who would beat the goaltender one-on-one and send the Greyhounds back to the Final Four.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Kylie Gargiulo recorded four saves for the hosts on the night.
- Today's win is the Greyhounds' first-ever NCAA Tournament Win.
- Assumption outshot Saint Anselm 9-8, while the Hawks had seven penalty corners to just four for the Greyhounds.
- This is the second straight year that the Greyhounds are heading to the Final Four.
- Assumption evened up the all-time series 17-17.
