HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half was all Greyhounds, with the offense flowing on all cylinders. Assumption could easily get inside, kick out to the arc, and get to the free-throw line. In addition,
Ja'Lyn Armstrong helped draw two offensive fouls to keep the momentum going on the defensive end.
Amanda Mieczkowski led the way with eight points, and
Kaijhe Hall was right behind her with seven, pushing the Greyhounds into a 37-25 lead at the break. The game was put away in the third quarter, as Assumption stormed out and went on a 21-4 run across the ten minutes to put the game entirely out of reach in the ladder stages. Despite an even scoring quarter of 13 each in the 4th, it wasn't enough for the Golden Falcons to overcome, as the Greyhounds prevailed for a 71-42 win.
