RINDGE, N.H. – Despite a late equalizer by Maya Demello, the seven-seeded Assumption University women's soccer team fell late to the second-seeded Franklin Pierce University Ravens, in the Northeast-10 Conference Quarterfinals Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Neither team was able to establish much offense in the first half, as the Ravens fired six shots, while the Greyhounds had two, but no one was able to shoot on target.
Franklin Pierce got on the board in the 52nd minute, as Salome Kerguillec scored off the cross from Ruby Conroy. The Ravens continued to apply pressure on the Greyhounds but were unable to add an insurance goal. Assumption found the equalizer in the 87th minute, as Maya Demello's free kick from 55 yards out, bounced off the head of a Franklin Pierce defender and went into the net, tying the score with 3:27 showing on the clock. The Ravens would not let the game go to extra time, as Jenna Delgado scored on a failed clear attempt of the box by the Greyhounds' back line.
