- The Lead: Assumption fell by a 7-0 margin in its final regular season contest of 2019 as Franklin Pierce earned the victory at home on Thursday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Assumption won just one doubles match as the Ravens earned the doubles point. Senior Reb Mariano (New London, Conn. / Saint Andrew's) teamed up with freshman Brandon Sze (South Windsor, Conn. / South Windsor) to earn a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles.

- Sze was bumped up to No. 2 and won the first set 6-3 before dropping the next two by scores of 6-3 and 7-5. Michael Butkus (Worcester / South High) dropped his match 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4 and freshman Kevin Wicks (Arlington, Mass. / Arlington) was solid at No. 6 despite falling 6-2, 6-0.
