HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Quincy Wilkins (Wilbraham, Mass. / Minnechaug) opened the scoring for Assumption just 26 seconds into the contest off a feed from Sarah Reilly (Fairfield, Conn. / Fairfield-Warde). The lead was short lived as Mercy countered with three goals over the next ten minutes for a 3-1 advantage.

She burst past the defense and fired it into the back of the cage to knot the game 4-4 going into the break.
- Mercy scored twice in the opening nine minutes of the second, before Jen McDonald (Walpole, Mass. / Walpole) trimmed the deficit to 6-5 on a free position goal at 20:20. However, the Mavericks responded with four consecutive goals over the next 12 minutes to stretch their lead to 10-5.

Mercy answered with a goal at 5:21 for the 11-7 advantage.
