Syracuse, N.Y. (May 4) -- The Assumption College baseball team closed its season with a 12-1 loss to Le Moyne College at Dick Rockwell Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Greyhounds finish the season with a 13-33 record, including an 8-13 record in divisional play while Le Moyne improves to 23-22 overall and 14-7 in divisional play.

Senior Shane Keddy (Worcester, Mass. /Worcester Tech) had two hits to close the season with a .307 batting average, including the lone RBI for Assumption in the loss. He collected a one-out RBI single, driving in freshman Tomas Paine (Upton, Mass. / Nipmuc) to give the Greyhounds a 1-0 lead in the second inning.

Sophomore Santi Palmer (San Juan, P.R. / Colegio San Ignacio) took the loss for the Greyhounds, working five innings of 10-hit ball while striking out two.

Le Moyne had three four-run innings in the game, scoring four runs in the third, sixth, and seventh innings on the way to the 12-1 final.
