Waltham, Mass. (October 29) -- The Assumption College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 final to the Bentley University Falcons at the Dana Center on Tuesday evening. The set scores were 25-18, 22-25, 7-25, and 13-25.

The Greyhounds fall to 4-15 with the loss and are now 1-10 in the Northeast-10 Conference while the Falcons improve to 13-7 overall and sit at 7-1 in the league.

The Greyhounds took the first set by a 25-18 final as Assumption hit .184 in the set and had a match-high 13 kills. In a highly competitive second set, the Greyhounds had 11 kills and raised their hitting percentage to .205 by committing only three errors in the set.

Sophomore Tara Reilly (Naples, Fla. / Northport) led the Greyhounds with eight kills while senior Kristin Flatekval (Mahwah, N.J. / Immaculate Heart) led the team with 26 assists. Senior Mary Johnston (Pearland, Texas / Glenda Dawson) had 22 digs to lead the team defensively while Jess Reimers (Okemos, Mich. / Okemos) was right behind Johnston with 21 digs.

Assumption is back in action on November 5th as the team will play host to Merrimack College. The match will begin at 7 pm at Laska Gymnasium.
