Adelphi 6, Assumption 3

Worcester, Mass. -- The Assumption men's tennis team fell 6-3 to the visiting Panthers of Adelphi University on Saturday at the Assumption College tennis courts.

Adelphi senior Sebastian Nieves (Bogota, Colombia/St. George's) defeated Assumption senior Jimmy Mongello (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth North), 6-2, 6-3, at number one singles. At number two, senior Anton Voynov (Burgas, Bolgaria/English Language Medium) defeated senior Tariq Sheikh (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) 6-2, 6-1.

Adelphi runs their record to 6-9 with a 4-3 record in the Northeast-10, while Assumption falls to 2-9, with a 1-6 record in conference. The Greyhounds host AIC on Sunday.
